Mariel Stephenson
Mariel Stephenson holds a bachelor of arts degree from Bennington College in Vermont and master's degree in art from the University of Missouri. "I grew up with art all around me; learning the history of the world through the arts of the ages. I worked in oils, printmaking and ultimately wood sculpture. But when I moved to Columbia, I particularly enjoyed the Mid-Missouri landscapes. Given my love of landscapes, watercolor seemed the way to go. My love of nature leads me to the creeks and rivers of Columbia and nearby communities. Life abounds in these quiet riparian zones and is often overlooked. No matter where I travel around this country and Europe, I find myself drawn to the woods and the water. Pausing there leads me to the paintings."

My work often tells a story, since I'm fascinated by human nature and by what history has to teach us. Andrea Leigh Youngman

The earth.” Andrea gives a donation to Heifer International each time one of her original canvas paintings sell. Her work can be seen at www.AndreaYoungman.com |
Ted Denton
"Extemporaneous is defined as something made or done that is improvised and without preparation. My constructions are unrehearsed and are born through a concentrated state of playfulness. Each construction is created by venturing through a chain of trial and error detours leading to exciting paths of unexpected places where new discoveries unfold. I encourage the viewer to intuitively respond to my work. Instead of designating titles, I refer to numbers that reflect the order in which each construction was created." Michael Bloemke
"I have been interested in photography as long as I can remember. Even as a young man I tried to take photographs that were a little different than the typical portrait or landscape. It wasn’t until retirement about 5 years ago and the discovery of digital photography that I was able to really begin working to turn my photography from a fun hobby to an expressive art form." Bill Manion
"Design, cartoons, and abstract color have been a love of mine since high school. After a long business detour supplying design to construction and mining, I now have time, a fun place to work, and the opportunity to try color, combinations and styles. Works of art should brighten and highlight every wall. I will keep trying to capture those highlights with color, tones, humor, moods, and that great feeling of forever sunsets." |
